Oskar Nyström

SONGWRITER / PERFORMER / PRODUCER / WRITER

Oskar Nyström grew up with the piano but found his true love in the guitar during his last year of high-school. That initial spark, ignited by John Frusciante of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, would take him on a journey through countless stage performances ranging from singing and performing in musicals (Jesus Christ Superstar, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Little Shop of Horrors, Jekyll & Hyde etc.) to playing guitar, bass and keyboard in session bands.

 

The last couple of years, he has also found a home in Studio Nyström, a sort of audio workshop where Oskar produces original music and audio for stage performances (Allt Kommer Bli Bra, Klara Zimmergren, The Hunchback of Notre Dame etc.) as well as movies, podcasts and radio.

 

Oskar is also a semi-retired writer. He has worked in editorial positions at Nya Wermlands-Tidningen as well as Gamereactor.

 

Oskar is currently hosting the podcasts Replay and Bioeco.
